Keeping an eye on your video marketing metrics with YouTube can be a little like spinning plates these days. However there is one aspect you should not forget.

With recent algorithm changes De-valuing view counts and emphasizing the length of time people spend watching your clips it is becoming more and more important that marketers should focus on those all important subscribers and followers to your brand.

Remember that your subscribers are your most loyal fans, they are the ones most likely to watch your content and the most likely to share and distribute it for you. Treat them well by providing top notch content and reach out to them where possible and you’ll find your subscriber count (and view count, obviously) getting bigger and bigger.

Make use of Social Media – even Google+, involve your top fans in special promotional projects but above all create good content.
