Here at Spectrecom Films, we work on all manner of different projects, for all manner of different clients. But recent months do seem to have delivered a particularly exciting burst of films which all have a sporting edge.

Let’s bring you up to date with a few of those films, starting with the mystery landlord of the Guinness Surge Bar.

The Surge Bar appeared at the home of English rugby, Twickenham, last year, and in honour of its opening, a World Cup-winning England legend was enlisted to man the pumps and keep the fans’ thirst quenched.

Here’s the film we made in collaboration with sponsorship agency Synergy. Released just a few months ago, it’s already picked up 35,000 YouTube views.

Another England rugby connection and another link-up with the team at Synergy, our Floodlight Rugby film was created to promote the Floodlight Reward Scheme being run by energy firm SSE.

Aimed at a target audience of amateur club rugby players, the film depicts just such a group of players being roped into a surprise game of night-time rugby with England internationals Billy Twelvetrees and Alex Goode.

And most recently, we worked with one of our long-time university clients, the University of East London, to produce a high-impact, highly atmospheric film centred on Adam Gemili, who is a rising star of UK athletics and a UEL sports scholar to boot.

Launched just a few weeks’ ago, it’s already closing in on 30,000 YouTube views.
