Charity videos are often able to call on big names from the world of showbiz, eager as they are to lend their support to good causes.
Case in point: a recent online video for Save the Children, in which Peter Serafinowicz, Matt Berry and other comic actors lampoon calls for the UK to cut its aid budget in those economically straitened times.
Taking a definite cue from one of the most famous scenes in Monty Python’s Life of Brian, the video doesn’t rise to those vertiginous heights of comedy genius, but it is a clear message delivered simply and with a good deal of fun.
