A new survey by Liveclicker offers some striking stats regarding the sales benefits enjoyed by those retailers that place video on the product landing pages of their websites.

The Liveclicker survey, which has been highlighted by ReelSEO, was based on research conducted with a host of US retailers, including Bed, Bath and Beyond, and Newegg.

The research delivered a host of eye-catching figures, including…

  • Those retailers with video on the majority of their product pages saw a 68% increase on their average order values
  • 88% confirmed an increase in conversion rates for product pages containing a relevant video
  • 35% of respondents reported a ‘very high increase’ in conversion rates
  • Retailers with video content on the majority of product pages saw a 79% higher conversion rate compared to retailers with just a few videos
