Charity is one of the sectors Spectrecom most regularly lends its video production services to, and one of our recurring clients in that sector is StreetSmart.

For those not in the know, StreetSmart seeks to extend the generosity of the Christmas season to some of those most in need at this wintry time of year – the homeless.

Top restaurants all across the country take part in the scheme each November and December, with diners being asked to add an extra quid to their bill and this money being used to help homeless charities in the city where the cash was given.

Backed by leading dining guide, StreetSmart has raised more than £6million since it started, and after a bumper year last year, hopes are high that 2013 will see it achieve its best result ever.

Vital to getting the word out each year is the official StreetSmart video, and having produced last year’s outing, starring Richard Bacon, Spectrecom was delighted to be asked back this year to repeat the trick.

The new video once more stars that man Bacon, as well as a trio of top StreetSmart-supporting chefs, Jason Atherton, Angela Hartnett and Francesco Mazzei, and it offers a comic spin on that seasonal favourite, Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.
