Like an episode of something from HBO on Sky or the X Factor final, the World Cup was always going to mean big money for video advertising spots.

It has been revealed that ITV will be charging up to £300,000 for a 30 second video marketing spot during a televise England game.

Games not featuring our national team will command a much lower price tag of £40-100k as we all know that the England matches are the ones to watch this Summer.

In the likely event that England don’t make the final, the advertising prices will remain in the lower register, making it somewhat of a bargain for one of the most watched events on TV.

Lets hope we don’t get any classic ITV interruptions this Summer:
