Film & TV

The distinction between corporate video production and television is becoming blurred, especially with the advent of online video content where corporations are beginning to produce their own virals and short dramas. The directors at Spectrecom have all produced television programmes, so when our studio is hired out, we are often asked to collaborate.

Invincible – a video pilot for a 1 x 1:30 television documentary followingthe story of the aircraft carrier HMS Invincible to tell the story of the air war during the Falklands War in 1982. Filming took place on-board HMS Illustrious in November 2005.

Sixty Thousand – The dramatic re-constructions from Andrew Greener’s First World War docudrama were used again for HTV’s Breathless Hush, co-directed by Bill Butt and Andrew Greener for Atlas Adventures.

Georgina Goes Out – A short documentary funded by Media Box and produced by Spectrecom. The film was directed by Spectrecom trainee Georgina Studd, and beat 9 other films to win a screening on Channel 4. The film also won in its category at First Light Movie Awards (2008).

Endgame – an 18 minute gritty thriller set against the backdrop of the troubles in Northern Ireland. Endgame featured in film festivals around the world, notably winning 2nd prize (£3,000) at TCM Classic Shorts (2005).
