What was the brief?
The University of Hertfordshire asked us to produce a film that would clearly explain the core elements of their BSc Sports Studies course and excite prospective students.
The two-minute film would be shown at academic talks on open days, included in email content and showcased on the Universities website and YouTube channel.
How did we approach the brief?
UH were keen to include animation and our in-house animators were happy to oblige, combining real-life footage with a world of fantastic colour and energy.
By colliding the excitement of animation with the real world, we wanted to demonstrate how this multi-faceted course offers more than just the expected. A voiceover would give all the information needed and explain the different routes students can take both during and after the Sports Studies course.
We filmed on location at the Hertfordshire Sports Village and captured footage of the sports facilities and in lessons. When that was all done, the post-production team went to work on editing and adding in the elements of animation.
The University were really pleased with the end product. It’s used as a promotional asset on their YouTube channel and features on the webpage prospective students would be looking at to find out more about the course.
