WHO WAS THE CLIENT?
WHAT WERE WE ASKED TO ACHIEVE?
As part of a new series for the University of Glasgow, we were asked to create an overview film showcasing student life at the university.
The university was eager to highlight its sport and research facilities, its library and also the city of Glasgow itself.
HOW DID WE APPROACH THE BRIEF?
The seed for our creative concept was provided by Glasgow’s identity as a vibrant 24-hour city; Glaswegians and honorary Glaswegians alike, including those studying at the university, like to work hard and play hard.
This gave us the idea of using a variety of different light sources – the rising sun, a classroom projector, a candle on a pub table – to link together a series of scenes from across the city and the university campus.
RESULTS AND REVIEWS
The film has only recently been launched online and we’re looking forward to seeing how it performs long-term. However the early indicators are very positive – it already has more than 5,000 views on YouTube.
