Matt has enjoyed a rich and varied career path on his way to becoming a Film Director here at Spectrecom Films, having worked in the industry for over 10 years.

That journey began in Thailand, where he spent a year as an English teacher, before he returned to the UK to set up a charity media centre in Bradford, Yorkshire, teaching filmmaking to homeless young people.

From there, he launched into a freelance TV career for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, and many independent production houses.

Since joining Spectrecom, Matt has been involved in a diverse range of projects and has developed a strong background in Charity, Branded Content and University films, primarily through short-form documentaries. Matt always receives excellent feedback from clients and takes pride in seeing a project through from paper to the screen whenever he can.

More recently he directed Spectrecom’s first-ever TV pilot, which consequently led to the rest of the short-form documentary series being commissioned by Channel 4. Matt shot all 5 of the remaining episodes and edited one, demonstrating his talent as a well-rounded filmmaker, capable of adapting to any brief passed his way.
