Andrew’s passion for the moving image began at the age of ten and continues to this day, so much so that he often takes time out to direct his own short films. His latest offering is the genre-bending Caravan Trilogy starring Ian Puleston-Davies and David Warner.

Coming from a background in cinematography Andrew is an award-winning director whose diverse work encompasses popular drama, comedy, youth and commercials. He has directed some of the most high-profile British shows of recent years, working with high-calibre actors, Academy Award nominees and BAFTA award-winners. Among his collaborators are Andy Serkis, Matt Smith, Imelda Staunton, David Morrissey, John Simm, Philip Glenister, Stephen Tompkinson, Stephen Mangan and Tamsin Greig.

Andrew prides himself on achieving an authentic and compelling performance from just about anyone he places in front of the camera, whether they are a seasoned artiste or raw talent from the street. The secret is his gift for instinctive casting. His passion is for potent visual storytelling to which he brings cinematic flair and a keen eye for a memorable shot.


His film and TV work includes Emmy award-winning Life on Mars and the cult BAFTA award-winning comedy Green Wing, for which he created the signature visual style. His hugely successful episode of Doctor Who made British television history with the inception of the brand-spanking-new Über Daleks!

In the world of advertising Andrew has directed films for DDB & Co, McCann Erickson, BMP/DDB, JWT, DFWG and Rapier. Clients include B&Q, Colin’s Fashion and Vernons.
