After 180 years of waiting, in December 2009, King’s College London signed an agreement to acquire the East Wing of Somerset House, one of London's most beautiful and iconic buildings.

King's asked Spectrecom to create a film to support the campaign; and our creative has just delivered this 4-min promo, presented by TV personality and King's History alumnus, Dr Nick Barrat.

The film was shot over the course of a single day and incorporates interviews with key staff members, a stylish 3D animated fly-through of the refurbished building and artists' impressions of the development.

Described by College Principal Rick Trainor as "one of great moments in the history of King's College and one that will help shape its future", the long-awaited acquisition has afforded King's a "unique opportunity to create a brand new London arts complex, in a building that bridges the worlds of higher education, policy and the arts, as well as provide a home for the school of law".
