According to Nielsen’s latest VideoCensus, referrals from YouTube to online travel channels and hotel websites were up 84% in 2009. What’s more, 89% of Internet users surveyed said video directly influenced their booking decisions. It’s no wonder then that almost all major hotel groups are investing heavily in online video for 2010.
Videos are simply the best way to generate bookings and bring your hotels to life. They’re versatile, affordable, impactful and therefore very cost-effective; and in today’s marketplace, increasingly savvy Internet shoppers have come to expect an abundance of information whenever they visit a hotel website. Hotel marketing videos are quickly becoming the online marketer’s tool choice.
Here’s a link to a blog entry / article that highlights the many benefits of using video to promote a hotel.
However, to capture the attention of an online audience notorious for its short attention span, it is very important to produce unique and creative videos with production values that mirror the standards of service on offer. That's why it’s usually a job best left to the professionals.
Spectrecom have produced videos for a wide range of hotels, right across the budget spectrum. Our clients include SAGA, the Starwood Group and Best Western. You can view the films we've produced for these companies by clicking on the thumbnails above. Here's some further information about the projects.
Best Western - Our video for the Best Western West Grange Hotel is a typical example of our entry-level videos for smaller hotels. It's a perfect vehicle to promote hotels across a range of online platforms and hotel listings. These videos are designed to help make it easier for guests to decide if they want to book the hotel online, right there and then when they're on the site.
SAGA Spirit of Adventure - Spectrecom produced a 15-minute observational documentary style film about the experiences of two couples who spent a fortnight on board SAGA's newest cruise ship MV Spirit of Adventure, comparable more to a super-yacht than a super-liner.
SAGA Coastline Hotel - Continuing its relationship with Saga, Spectrecom were asked to produce a glossy film for SAGA's coastline hotel in Malta. Shot on rich high definition tapeless cameras over two months and hosted by TV personality Sarah Greene, the longer-form programme not only details the hotel's amenities, but extensively covers diverse cultural activities holidaymakers can partake in and the rich history of the island nation.
Starwood Hotel Group - for Le Meridien Hotel in Piccadilly, Spectrecom produced two pieces that feature the rooftop terrace restaurant and spa facilities for discerning customers and travellers in Central London. Deep focus lenses and stylised photography exactingly match the hotel's style guide, making for a rich brand experience.
Be it in the centre of London, just off the A4, or across the Mediterranean, Spectrecom have the experience and expertise to produce effective video communications that make a real difference.
