Celebrity Shotgun
  
Directed by Mat Fraser, Celebrity Shotgun is a witty 7 minute drama produced by Spectrecom Films for Heart ‘n Soul. The script was devised and written by Heart ‘n Soul, an impressive arts organisation led by artists with learning difficulties; they also acted in the film, and wrote and performed the music. The film’s year long film festival tour kicked off with a screening at the Spectrecom Studio on 10 July 2007.

Deptford Design Festival Film Screening
Spectrecom Films held an open day on 15th September 2007 and screened the work of local filmmakers and animators in our in-house film & television studio. The winning film was Federico Forcolini's "Six Years", after the entrants were judged by Screen Yorkshire. You can view the short film here. This is the second year running for the screening day at Spectrecom, and it will return again in 2008, so please check back for further details closer to the time.
Competition Winners Enjoy A Day Out In The Movies!
Spectrecom worked with Performance Entertainment and Warner Bros. to give competition winners the chance to battle it out with a Spartan warrior, against a green screen background in September! Using footage from 300, and one of the actors from the film itself, the competition winners sparred with a real actor from the film, using shields, spears and swords, and were then planted into the scene. This day event has been ran three times now, twice for the film 300, and once before for Happy Feet, in which visitors got to dance alongside a penguin!
Black History Month Short Film Challenge
  
Lewisham Film Initiative has announced the launch of 2007's Black History Month Short Film Challenge in new partnership with Spectrecom Films, ITV Local London and The Albany. Two projects have been commissioned - Hair We Are (Drama by Daniella Blechner) and The First Black British Nurses (Documentary by Donald and Janet Davey). Spectrecom Films will Executive Produce both projects. Please find more info online.

Film Screening - Saturday 16th September 2006
As part of the Deptford Design Festival Spectrecom Films worked in collaboration with Film London’s Local Digital Network, ScreenStation and Lewisham Film Initiative (LFI) to screen the work of local filmmakers and animators in the Company’s own film & television studio.
Throughout the day there was special sessions and demonstrations in editing, camera and careers in the creative industry + Q&A’s with filmmakers.
ENDGAME is a winner at the 2005 Turner Classic Movies (TCM) Classic Shorts film competition
The prestigious 2005 Turner Classic Movies (TCM) Classic Shorts film competition saw a shortlist of six movies whittled down from 459 entries. The judging panel included producers, directors, writers, star actors and film journalists: Julian Fellowes, Dame Helen Mirren, Michael Caton Jones, Alan Rickman, Kate Winslet to name but a few.
2005 Film Festival screenings include: LA Shorts, Galway Film Fleadh (Special Mention), Belfast, Foyle, Cork, London, Cardiff, and received a nomination for Kodak/BAFTA Short Film Showcase
Commercial distribution is handled by Shorts International Ltd, the world’s leading short film distribution company.
At the awards ceremony held at the National Film Theatre, Endgame was awarded 2nd prize and £3,000 cash.
