Luc Palmer is a London born Cinematographer.
At 18 Luc moved to California to study Film & Video as a Fine Art at University of California San Diego. His first jobs in the camera department were in Los Angeles with Oscar winning DP Wally Pfister ASC and Oscar nominated DP Phaedon Papamichael ASC. Luc moved back to London where he spent the next ten years working his way up through the camera ranks with many of the UK’s most awarded Directors & DPs.
Since 2007 he has shot 100’s of commercials and music videos for household names. Specialising in Automotive and Fashion & Beauty brands (Ferrari, Mercedes, Honda, McLaren, Ford, Audi, Toyota, Mazda, Mini, Bottega Veneta, Body Shop, Amazon Fashion, Marni, Asos, Kilgour, Jenny Packham, Net A Porter, The Gold Council, Nike, Adidas, Swatch, L’Oreal, ChoCheng, Olay). His work shows a deep technical understanding, particularly of VFX and Chromakey work.
In 2012 he shot the official film for the London 2012 Paralympics. “The Book of Fire” opened The Games and was broadcast to a worldwide audience of over 1 billion people!
Luc’s 20 years in the camera department give him the knowledge base to compliment a Director’s vision in the most creatively driven yet pragmatic manner.
