YouTube have announced their very own music video awards ceremony to take place on November 3rd streamed live across the web from Pier 36 in New York.
Every winner will be voted for by the viewing public giving YouTube fans total control of the outcome. Hosted by Jason Schwartzman and with Spike Jonze on-board as Create Director the event promises to be a very cool affair. Jonze has been quoted as saying he wants the night to “feel like a YouTube video itself”.
Live performances will also be streamed from Rio, London, Seoul and Moscow with Gaga, Arcade Fire, Eminem and more all taking part.
Nominations are open from October 17th, but will voters be forced to use the tiresome Google+ and its new YouTube commenting functionality?
