Last night saw Hollywood bowing down and paying homage to its best of 2015, via the annual Golden Globes awards ceremony. \

Let’s start with our education sector work: 2015 saw us once again collaborating with many of our long-term clients, including Keele University, King’s College London and the British Council.

However, it also saw us produce first-time projects for the likes of the University of Nottingham, the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Imperial College London and Cardiff University – all of whom have since commissioned further work from us.

Here’s one of the most high-profile university pieces we worked on last year, a TV ad for London Met that we feel perfectly epitomises our brand promise of ‘brave films crafted with care’.

 

 

In terms of branded content, the last 12 months have seen us working with a host of PR, digital and ad agencies in order to deliver finely sculpted nuggets of filmic brilliance.

We welcomed the cast of Geordie Shore into our studios on behalf of NOW TV. Erstwhile Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts became a fearsome drill sergeant for 888ladies Bingo. And our cameras captured a one-in-a-million basketball shot for Lucozade.

One of our favourite pieces of branded content came late in the year, in the unruly form of Oddbins’ hell-raising Christmas viral (look out for the cameo from our very own Liam as the scrapping Elf).

Our 2015 charity work was equally varied – we produced video content for household names such as the RSPCA, we delivered content for emerging charities including the Adam Bell Foundation.

Our work for Tusk continued to attract no little attention and acclaim. The 25th anniversary film we created for the charity was one of the big winners at October’s EVCOM Clarion Awards, claiming two Golds and two Silvers.

 

 

And that brings us onto the fourth of Spectrecom’s key sectors – finance.

We’re already excited about some of the finance projects we have coming in 2016; one was being shot just last week. In the meantime, here’s a nice piece from 2015 – an infographic animation for Money 20/20 Europe.
