Snickers have taken their current video advertising concept global with a stuntvert built around some Australian brickies.

Cleverly subverting the usual stereotype of brash, sexist workmen wolf-whistling at passing women, Snickers have replaced the normal routine with comments about gender equality as well as fashion compliments.

As part of their “You’re not you when you’re hungry” campaign the ad does stop short of the builders eating a bar and reverting back to old stereotypes in favour of promoting a message of equality.

Its a great idea but it does perhaps borrow a little from a Harry and Paul sketch. Take a look below:
