The Design Council recently called on the video production services of Spectrecom to create six films that tell the design stories of the London Olympic and Paralympics.

Going under the collective banner of Beyond 2012, those half-dozen videos covered multiple facets of the Games’ design elements, including the logo, Olympic torch and more.

Now, London 2012 offered golden opportunity to champion the best of British design, and that is what the Design Council is all about: demonstrating the value of design, to the public and to business.

It’s the latter group that the Council’s newest video is concerned with, as it trumpets the benefits that investing in design can bring to small firms, including improved working environments, happier staff, more satisfied customers and more innovative products – using an allegorical animation starring robots to do so.

Entitled The Value of Design, check it out below.
