Pre-roll video advertising is a necessary evil these days, it might get in the way of content but at least you can skip it…sometimes.
You might be interested to know that according to a survey done by Yahoo! Pre-roll ads are actually the most acceptable kind of video advertising.

The group of 1,775 consumers that formed the survey were pretty ad-savvy and over half of them said that they expected their content to be tailored to their searches as well as having some kind of choice associated with them.
What do you prefer if you have to see an ad? As pre-rolls get more creative and ‘ironic’ they can be a lot more tolerable these days. I think you’ll agree though that the skip button should appear more often.
