Facebook has taken a hit as YouTube and its bevy of video marketing and viral video wonders continues to ascend in the popularity stakes amongst teens.

According to a November study by the Intelligence Group YouTube has overtaken Facebook as the go-to site for young people aged  18-24 in the US.

Last year YouTube was also voted the number one youth brand in a study within 16-24 year-olds.

This further empathizes the importance of using YouTube effectively if you are marketing to the ‘youth’. This is perhaps particularly significant for Universities who can get it wrong when it comes to creative direction on film.

A willing audience is in attendance, be brave and capture their attention with something that they can really get into.
