YouTube annotations whilst helpful for video marketing, can be some of the most irritating things on the Internet if over-used.
What if they were used for good though? Non-Profit Organisation Waves For Water have created an annotations campaign that actually utilizes the annoying coloured shapes for a good cause.
By creating a succession of annotations in various shapes and sizes WFW have been able to make a sort of animation which you can add to your own videos to raise awareness by visiting their website.
It’s a great idea and hopefully one that will catch on as more agencies realise the opportunities to be creative with YouTube’s settings are pretty numerous.
