Unless you’re a hermit or stylite, teamwork is a pretty essential part of professional existence. And on said collaborative note, we’ve just partnered with one of our long-term clients, Macmillan Cancer Support, and two fresh cohorts, Boots and M&C Saatchi, to create a new video.
That new video is designed to promote the Boots Macmillan Beauty Advisors service. BMBAs provide free advice to people affected by cancer, advising them on skin, nail and hair care.
The aim, ultimately, is help people living with cancer to feel more like themselves again.
Boots and Macmillan wanted a new video to showcase the service, and M&C Saatchi duly cooked up a time-rewinding concept that we were asked to capture on film.
Since launching online a couple of weeks ago, the video has been seen more than 26,000 times on YouTube.
Dan Rowson, video production manager at Macmillan, notes it has been “exceptionally well received” and “a great example of real partnerships working to make this happen.”
“Macmillan were focused on ensuring the telling of the woman’s cancer story was appropriate and relevant to the real experiences of people affected by cancer. We wouldn’t usually use actors and like to tell stories through our case studies.”
“With this in mind, we really wanted to work with Spectrecom as they had the experience of working with Macmillan previously and were able to bring the appropriate sensitivities and understanding to the project.”
