When the video production skills of Spectrecom were called upon by the Greater London Authority earlier this year, the result was Fit Cities, a scintillating opening film for the eponymous conference and an IVCA Clarion Gold award-winner.
With our prior collaboration having delivered such a positive experience, it was with real pleasure that we reteamed with the GLA on its new opening film, for the Mayor of London’s Education Conference which took place at City Hall on 22 November.
The project was directed by Matt Farman and produced by Rob Jowers, the same team that scored such a hit with Fit Cities, and it saw our film crew visiting different schools across the capital, interviewing educational innovators, to build up a portrait of inspiration and creativity entitled ‘Wisdom Begins in Wonder’.
The video screened at the conference, and has already attracted some amazing feedback from Josie Todd, Projects Officer in the Education and Youth Team at the Greater London Authority:
“Spectrecom did a great job in responding to our brief and managed to distil a big ask into a great quality film that was perfect for our needs.
“The finished product is of a very high standard and really embodies what we’re trying to do here in the GLA’s Education Team – to celebrate all the success and innovation already taking place in London’s schools and to continue to make them amongst the best in the world.”
“We had some lovely verbal feedback from delegates on the day and also from those who participated in the filming – they all thought it was great and commented on what a fantastic job you’d done and how grateful they are to have been included in the film.”
“One of the top successes to come out of our team ‘wash-up’ meeting on the conference this week was the film and how beautifully it set the tone for the day. I know that Munira Mirza, Deputy Mayor for Education and Culture, thought it was great and we are just really pleased to have such a resource at our disposal now.”
