A new video tells the story of Google’s first-ever Night Walk, as the search engine giant brought the city of Marseilles to life with a unique spin on its Street View function.
Street View is, of course, pretty useful – but you could never exactly accuse it of being overly atmospheric.
Well, inspired by Marseilles native Julie de Muer, Google is offering a different kind of Street View experience, with the French city being presented in its nocturnal form.
The environment buzzes with varied sounds including street football and jazz musicians, and there are little titbits to uncover about notable Marseilles natives too.
Check out the Night Walk site, and watch the video to find out more about how it all came together.
