We’re sure that you, like the team here at Spectrecom Films, were glued to the Commonwealth Games last night, as young English sprinter Adam Gemili claimed silver in the 100 metres.

A fantastic achievement for an athlete whose biggest successes lie ahead of him – and if you’re interested in what goes through Adam’s head when he lines up for a monumental race like the one he ran last night at Hampden Park, then check out the film we made with him earlier this year.

Titled ‘Adam Gemili: What Makes an Elite Athlete?’, the film was produced in conjunction with the University of East London, which Adam attends as a sports scholar.

It was directed by our very own Matt Farman, with filming taking place both at UEL and Newham Leisure Centre, and it gives a dynamic perspective on Adam’s emotions as he’s out there in the blocks, waiting for that bang of the starter’s gun. Take a look…
