If you’re making a video ad featuring a top-of-the-range motor vehicle, then it’s a fair bet the spot will feature some shots of the car actually, y’know, driving.

But the car being attacked by a litany of polo players, boxers, American footballers, BMX-ers?

Not so much.

However, the latest video production bearing that exalted tag of Mercedes-Benz inverts the traditional formula, with the car spending the majority of the film masqueraded as a giant obelisk as it is besieged by the frenetic attentions of an eclectic cast.

Nicely shot and set to a pulsing soundtrack, the one question you might be left pondering is… what has it all actually got to do with the car?
