For any production company that professes to know its onions from its elbows, the name of the only game in town is delivering results for clients. What form those results take are, of course, dependent on the client, but winning major awards tends to rank pretty high up there.
And that’s just what Spectrecom delivered when it last collaborated with West Kent, as our West Kent Lifeways film picked up a Silver IVCA Award for Best Documentary and was also highly commended in the Best Direction category.
West Kent is a housing association dedicated to building sustainable communities around the homes it provides, and a big part of delivering on that commitment comes via the customer service it provides to tenants.
Earlier this year, and following our prior happy collaboration, West Kent enlisted Spectrecom as the production company it wanted to produce a new film about the customer service culture that exists within the organisation. That film was created to be shown to West Kent staff, and needed to leave them motivated and inspired to put their training into practice.
To tell the West Kent customer service story, we worked closely with the client to identify tenants and employees who could shine a light on the caring, supportive side of what West Kent does on a daily basis. Here’s the result…
The film has only recently been launched, but is already winning praise. It has, in the words of Suzanne Smith, Communications and Marketing Manager at West Kent, “been a great success; it’s been shown multiple times at various staff meetings and feedback’s been really positive. It’s helping to drive the customer service change programme through and supports our overall vision.”
The team who worked on the film were the same who made Lifeways such a success. So that’s director Richard Butterworth, producer Rob Jowers, and camera operator James Adair, plus Alex Kerr on sound/lighting.
