It was late last year that Spectrecom was asked to shoot a racetrack promo for BMW’s new 2 Series, and guess what? That promo’s just been launched online.

A sporty, sleek and really rather beautiful coupe, the BMW 2 Series is an automotive sight to drool over.

So, it was no surprise that a key component of the brief handed to Spectrecom was to snare sensational footage of the new car. And that’s just what we did, as demonstrated by the gorgeous intro of our film.

However, we also had other business to attend to. Because part of the 2 Series’ launch involves a fantastic competition to find BMW’s Ultimate Driver. That’s right. Some lucky winner is going to get to try out every new BMW in 2014.

The film follows BMW ambassadors Jake Humphrey and Andy Priaulx as they introduce the competition with their own test laps in the 2 Series. Unsurprisingly, racing ace Andy is very good. But Jake…? Not so much.

Take a look at the film below. Made in partnership with top marketing agency Dare, it includes some showpiece shooting techniques to look out for, including unmanned aerial drone filming.
