Travel always offers a rich wellspring of video marketing imagery, what with all those exotic locales and luxury hotels. However Airbnb has is currently running a filmmaking competition geared towards the tastes of more creatively-minded holiday-makers.

Provider of holiday rental apartments the world over, Airbnb was issuing instructions to its Twitter followers on a daily basis over the course of the last week in August, asking them to create Vine videos.

The finest of those 6-second nuggets are now being edited together into a longer film, to ‘create a story of travel, adventure and finding your place in the world’. That longer film will debut on the Sundance Channel on 12 September, before going online the day after.
