Adidas is renowned for the quality of its video marketing – be it on TV or online – and the German sportswear behemoth has just come up with another hit, by asking basketball fans in London to rise high in order to score some free footwear.

Derrick Rose is one of the superstar players from the Chicago Bulls (says the piece of text I’m copying that information from – does Horace Grant still play for them?), and he was in Hackney a couple of weeks back to receive a rapturous reception from his adoring faithful.

However, the visit wasn’t solely about spreading good vibes and general bonhomie. Oh no. Del Boy was also challenging some of the capital’s aspiring basketball players to win a pair of his Adidas signature shoes – by leaping and grabbing themselves a pair within a 24-second time limit.

Never one to miss a video marketing opportunity, Adidas has had that shoe-jumping fun smartly edited, soundtracked and whacked online, meaning you are entirely free and able to check it out for yourself below…
