It was late last year when the announcement came: Newman University, located in Birmingham and named after Blessed John Henry Cardinal Newman, was being recommended for full university status. That recommendation now confirmed, Newman University has celebrated this change in name and status with the launch of 30 new online films.
Produced in conjunction with Spectrecom Films, the completed suite of films includes more than 20 which were shot entirely from scratch last autumn, in addition to a number which combine fresh footage with material previously shot by Spectrecom on behalf of Newman.
Taken collectively, the films answer just about every question you could ever ask about Newman University, and probably a few more besides.
From detailing its courses both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, to the lowdown on accommodation options and facilities at students’ disposal, to glowing testimonials from some of the current crop of students – these films tell characteristically warm and personal studies from this unique educational institution.
In order you can get a feel for Newman itself and also how wide-ranging this raft of new online content is, here are a couple of the films for you to take a look at. First is a profile of Youth & Community Work student Thomas Ward…
And here’s the film showing off the University’s sparkling new sports facilities…
