New Training Scheme
We have a series of free camera workshops and edit workshops running throughout August and September. The scheme is based around the production of a music video and experience on the location shoots is also available.

Education programmes
Media is a popular learning subject in the UK and a large spread of 'A' levels, BTEC courses, and media degrees focus their education content on the production of small films and television programmes with students working in the advanced roles of Producer, Director, Writer and Camera. Two major problems arise. The amount of media degree graduates alone (30,000 p.a.) vastly outweighs the amount of work available. And in a highly competitive environment the industry is not looking for inexperienced producers, directors, writers, cameramen or editors. It is actually looking to recruit individuals with training and work experience in the entry level grades.

Spectrecom Training Ltd provides vocational training and work experience in a nurturing and creative environment. The aim is to give trainees realistic prospects of finding employment in the media industry.

Entry-level skills training
Training in each of the disciplines will encompass tuition on health and safety policies, research, industry conduct, careers and CV writing. Courses will provide hands-on training in specialist skills and will include valuable work experience on professional television or film projects through our sister company Spectrecom Films giving the trainees both industry practice and important contacts.

Participants/Eligibility
Spectrecom Training is funded by various different organisations. Sometimes, these organisations are trying to help a certain section of the community. Each of our courses is tailor-made to cater for this. Sometimes they are for young people, whereas on other occasions age doesn’t matter. Sometimes, they are for the disabled, or for socially/economically disadvantaged groups. Whoever you are though, we would like to hear from you, should you be interested in training with us. We will always be able to help you with something.
