Christiaan has been Spectrecom's Business Development Manager since 2008.

And thanks to his background behind-the-camera in film and video production, he understands the technical, practical and creative aspects of filmmaking, as well as how to make the most out of any marketing budget.

After completing a Film & Media degree at Leeds University in 2003, Christiaan went on to study for a Master’s in Politics & International Relations at Royal Holloway and a Film Journalism PGDIP at Glasgow, earning prestigious Distinctions in both.

He then spent a year abroad living and working in Canada, until joining Spectrecom in November 2005 as a production assistant. Over the next 3 years, Christiaan worked in a variety of production roles from camera-operator, to producer / director, on both TV and corporate projects. He was also a popular tutor with local young people who attended Spectrecom’s training courses, to whom he taught camera techniques and editing skills.

Christiaan writes regularly for a number of popular film magazines, he's a keen cricketer, a comedy geek, a big MasterChef fan and lives in Brockley, SE London.
