After completing a Film & Media degree at Leeds University, Christiaan went on to study for a Master’s Degree in International Relations at Royal Holloway, where he graduated with a Distinction.
After spending a year abroad living and working in Canada, Christiaan joined Spectrecom in November 2005 as a production assistant. Now he’s an associate producer and works with Sarah to help produce vital background research, schedules, and call sheets for our corporate work.
Christiaan has also become a proficient camera operator, and his camerawork includes some of our films for Durham University, Lewisham Council and the Soil Association. Teaching camera techniques and editing skills, he’s a popular tutor with local young people who attend Spectrecom’s training courses.
Christiaan is helping to research and develop documentary ideas for network television. In his spare time he writes documentary film reviews for Beyond Hollywood, Collider and the Documentary Filmmaker’s Group (DFG). He’s a keen cricketer and lives locally in St John’s, Lewisham.
