Jonny graduated from London South Bank University in 2006 with a degree in Special Effects – which means he’s proficient in 3DS Max and Photoshop, as well as pyrotechnics, prosthetics, 3D model and character design and animation, physical effects and SFX makeup. His first job was creating mortar fire in a lake for a war documentary on the History Channel.

Jonny joined us as Studio Manager in 2006, and has worked on a variety of shoots from low budget videos to feature films. As well as overseeing the day to day running of the studio shoots, he rigs lights, builds sets, and Directs.

Exciting extra curricular activities have included vision mixing Warner Bros promotions for the films Happy Feet and 300, Gaffer on a feature to be released in 2009, and a short stint on the set of The Bourne Ultimatum (2007). To help support the team, Jonny is also shooting, editing and putting his graphic design skills to good use on DVD design, website art and animations.

In his spare time, Jonny is working with his brother on a short horror film and one day hopes to direct his own feature film, hopefully alongside Guillermo Del Toro!
