Andrew Greener: Managing Director

a.greener@spectrecom.co.uk

Andrew set up Spectrecom as a small private concern in 1993, making corporate videos to help fund his student years. After university, he worked as an art director in Bristol, notching up over 20 credits on ITV drama, short films and commercials. He also worked as a director on documentaries with dramatic re-constructions for HTV and LWT, he wrote and directed the short film Endgame (Winner TCM Classic Shorts Competition 2005), and he continues to work on drama scripts for film and television.

Spectrecom became a limited company in 2004 and studio operations began in Deptford, London, soon afterwards. Andrew led the move and expansion to the new studio premises at Waterloo in January 2010. He's a committed environmentalist and has placed corporate responsibility firmly at the centre of the company’s activities. Recently for example, he's ensured that the new studio fit-out incorporates a plethora of re-used materials and that electrical appliances are as energy efficient as possible.

Andrew divides his time between driving the business and working across a range of our films. He's been at the helm of projects for some of the UK's leading universities and he's directed films for clients as diverse as Saga, Ideal Standard, Beat Bullying and Cunard. And last year he worked in his most unusual role (for him!) to date, as first assistant director on the shoot for Muse's hit music video, Uprising.
