The Spectrecom team started with Andrew, Steve and Sarah – they went to university together in the 1990’s before going off to work in different areas of television production.

When Spectrecom became a limited company in 2005, Pearl was the first person to come on board, coming to us through the New Deal programme. Ben and Christiaan joined later that year as intern trainees, Jonny came in 2006, and Gill started as Spectrecom's accountant in 2008. 2009 has seen the company grow even more, with two other additions to the team in Sarah Bakker and Ben Kent.

In 2008, Spectrecom won a prestigious IVCA Gold Award for its work with Durham University, and became one of just 9 European production companies to win such an accolade.
